well this is it:-)60x72 is a pretty good size. This one and #9 will go into the mail on Friday. Thank you to everyone for your support and patience during this project.

Close but no denim quilt...YET:-)

I'm so close to being done,but it will have to wait until tomorrow. The good news is, it should be ready to mail by Monday.

It's a baby quilt-40x40. I have such a small amount of usable denim left, that it's a good thing i only have 1 more to make. As soon as I figure out how to get the pictures off my son's camera I'll put them up.

WOW!!! 4 months is a long time

Well since I'm back amongst the living, it's time to get this project done. Sept.12, 2009 is my self imposed deadline. I have #8 in the box and #9 on my bed waiting to be quilted. So if all goes well, I'll have a little bit of denim for #10.

Thank you to my mother, Mrs. D., for donating 2 denim jumpers, that's the fabric for the flowers in the new one.

Now is this #7 or #8?

I really did loose track of how many I have made. But this one went in the mail last night. It's big and pretty:-) 66in x 70in. just two big flowers, off center. This one does use some pockets as "quilt blocks", and a pieced border. So now I'm down to little scraps, here's hoping I have only two left to finish.

In my little corner of the world, I've got almost 1 more quilt ready to go...YEA!!!!
I'm going to pin it while I watch "Toddlers and Tiaras" on TLC, so it should go pretty quick. My new goal is to have this one in the mail by this Fri.

I have alot of little scraps and alot of pockets, so now it's time to get creative:-) Pockets are not as useful as I thought, but hey, we'll make it work.

Then just 2 more to go... WOW!!!! This has taken way to long.
But that just means I need to budget my time better and then I can do what needs to be done.

Statistic....

We throw away over 68 lbs of clothing every year. Just think about how much of that is reusable?

This is the quilt that was mailed yesterday. I used a few pockets as a border, just to make it interesting.

I have finished 1 quilt and am putting it in the mail tomorrow:-) yea!!! So i should have pics up by then.It took me a bit to get my camera together... but just 4 more to go, we're coming into the home stretch. I'm so excited!!! Finally have some time off from work, so here we go;-}

I almost have a quilt ready to go. It began as a quilt made of only pockets, but that didn't work at all. So I'm using the pockets in another way. There should be some pictures ready by Thursday or Friday. And I'll mail the quilt soon after.

Time to get back to work

My goal is to have 2 quilts ready to mail by the middle of March. I have so many ideas on how to stretch the denim, and still make nice, usable quilts.

O.K....O.K.....

I'm so happy that i finally have 3 quilts to put in the mail. The one I messed up is going in the box. I figure, the whole point of recycling is not to be wasteful. So i will leave it up to my sister to decide what to do w/it. It is just as durable as they others, but I'm not happy with it. But that's o.k.
YEAH!!!! for 3 quilts in the mail.

No news is....well, no news:-(

I haven't really had much time or energy to get as much done as I had hoped. But since it's been a while since my last post I figured at least signs of life would be nice:-)

The denim is quickly running out, so some of the quilts will have to appliqued- just to stretch it;we'll see how that works out.
